The Bridge Eatery & Bar was born under the name ‘Bridge Pizza’ in Lexington, in 2012, by masterful pizza chef Bayram (Benny) Vatansever. Shortly after, Bridge Pizza got awarded the “Best Specialty Pizza in Central Kentucky” in 2012 Pizzaovens.com Bluegrass Pizza Bake-off, and quickly became a Lexington favorite. Its Garlic Knots and New York style crust were unmatched in town.
Fast forward to 2017…
New partners, the Kargi family, joined in, bringing along new flavors, a new location, and a brand new vision. That vision was to bring together our culinary powers to bring out the best in each other, and create a uniquely delicious mesh-up of American and Mediterranean cuisines. Our seasoned restaurant consultant Gina Ates, who has prior hospitality experience at Keenland, greatly influenced the realization of our new concept.
The Bridge Eatery & Bar now features classic Lexington favorites, as well as curious new dishes for anyone who wishes to cross the Bridge and land in the Mediterranean coast.
